The Liz
Green Arts studio is a place of pure creativity where anything is truly
possible. In the Studio, the magic of colour and creativity happens through a
multitude of different mediums, textures and handcrafts. There is always
something on the go, sometimes too many to count!
I have
fallen in love with a variety of different fibres, some of them luxurious and
deluxe in nature, and yet the fibres I use are always soft against the skin.
Simply put, if I would not personally use it or wear it against my skin, or if I
am not satisfied with its quality, I will not sell it.
Some of my favourite
fibres that I like to work with are Fine Merinos, soft Alpacas, silky Bamboo,
squishy easy-to-spin Cotton, and of course a range of lustrous Silks. What is
more exciting though, is hand dyeing these beautiful fibres and even carding
them further into more exciting fibre blends. All of these I offer in my shop for
you to enjoy :-)
I have come
to love working with fibres (along with other materials), working from their
raw state, through the hand processing, dyeing and blending, then spinning the
final yarns before creating something magical through various handcrafts.
Everything
you see in my shop has been handmade by me. From my vibrant hand dyed fibres
and bespoke hand spun yarns, to handcrafted accessories and notions. There is
also a growing range of handmade items, perfect for gifts and presents, with
many new products in the pipeline!
As there are
so many different handcrafts I feature in my work, (and while items are being
made all the time), it is impossible to make and stock everything at once. So
feel free to have a look around and if you don't see what you are after, please
